**AAGEN 5th Leadership Training Conference - "Prepare for Your Future" and the evening award banquet were successfully completed on July 15th, Tuesday.  We thank all the participants and guests at both the conference and the banquet.  We look forward to maintain contacts with all to promote, expand, and support APA leadership in Federal, state, and local governments.

AAGEN is proud to have sponsored its fifth annual leadership conference for the APA community on July 15, 2008.  This conference provided timely and relevant learning opportunities where senior executive and career specialists shared their experiences, insights, and expertise on how to manage professional careers and prepare for the future in the Federal government.  Whether the subject was on entering the job market, considering a change in career path or thinking of trying to accelerate your promotions, this conference had something for its participants.

AAGEN’s annual award dinner followed the conference.  This year, AAGEN honored Senator Daniel Akaka, Distinguished Lifetime Achievement Award;  the Honorable Secretary of Labor, Elaine Chao, AAGEN Excellence in Public Service Award; and Dr. Carson Eoyang and Mrs. Kemay Eoyang, Stan Suyat Leadership Award.

 Welcome To AAGEN

Our Mission

The mission of AAGEN is to promote, expand and support Asian Pacific American leadership in the Federal, State and Local governments.

Our Profile

The Asian American Government Executives Network (AAGEN), founded in September 1994, is a 501(c)3 non-profit, non-partisan organization of the highest ranking Asian Pacific American career and appointed executives, foreign service officers, legislative and judiciary members, and military officers in the Federal, state, and local governments.

Our History

In early 1994, several Federal Asian American senior executives met informally to become better acquainted, to explore the possibilities of setting a more structured network, and to find ways to identify other executives. It was agreed that through a network, we would be able to establish a high level voice and representation for ourselves and other Asian Americans in Federal service, to help each other, and to maintain visibility that other similar organizations have achieved for their respective interests. In the ensuing months, the group grew quickly with executives representing more than 20 Federal agencies, and the network was formed.
