AAGEN Holds its 9th Annual Leadership Development Training Workshop

“Up To The Challenge” provides participants with career advancing tools to rise to the challenges of leadership during times of significant change in government.

WASHINGTON, D.C. (Date) - The Asian American Government Executives Network (AAGEN) will hold its 9th annual Leadership Development Training Workshop at the Doubletree Hotel in Crystal City, VA on June 6, 2013.  The workshop is designed to provide valuable learning and networking opportunities for all public servants to enhance their professional careers.

"Government is facing unprecedented pressure to continue delivering high value with limited resources," said Thomas Phan, AAGEN Chairman.  "AAGEN is committed to building a strong community of leaders who are up to the challenge to solve complex problems and make critical decisions that positively affect national policy.  The 2013 AAGEN Leadership Development Training Workshop “Up to the Challenge” equips government executives and empowers emerging leaders with necessary knowledge, skills, and capabilities to address critical needs in leading the 21st century workforce."

The workshop agenda focuses on helping managers and staff improve their leadership effectiveness and career potential.  Speakers include career, political and retired government executives, academic experts and industry leaders with extensive experience and knowledge in a variety of fields.  AAGEN will also provide its signature Executive Career Coaching sessions to attendees, where each participant can meet face-to-face with an executive coach for individual consultation and advice.
